Did some sketching with a Kuretake brush pen and a .3 Hi-Tec-C in a cheap-o notebook (don’t know how people can draw in expensive sketchbooks. Makes me WAY to nervous). It felt good to draw with something other than a wacom tablet for the first time in awhile. Gotta remember to do that more often.

FINISHED!My newest comic, Sarah and the Seed, is finally done!

Thank you for hanging in there for the final chapter. I severely underestimated how long 15 pages would take! Also thank you so much to everyone who shared and reblogged this along the way.

Kaguya Hime
The princess returns to her home world.
I did this illustration earlier this year, but am just now getting around to posting it. I’m still not totally happy with it, and may end up redoing it at some point. It’s a great story, and I’d love to a full set of illustrations for it one day.

Liquid Comfort :: BEER

This time around I did a flattering self-portrait. Lately I’ve taken up gardening, and typically the first thing I want after working outside all day, is an ice cold beer.

For all of these portraits I’m using Avalon watercolor paper. I’ve found it helps a lot in giving my feeble brush strokes a lot more character. Its a bit pricey, but when I used the cheap, lightweight stuff, I was constantly fighting with my materials and painting was anything but relaxing.
